Great Coffee Farmers LTD is a coffee producer and exporting company. It has been established and founded by Mrs. Uwimana Esther in 2017. She had this idea from the inspiration of her mother who is the first women in Rwanda who established the first company in coffee business.

A heritage in our family, great coffee! Currently, Mrs Uwimana Esther is working with her husband who has experience of 10 years working with the famers especially in coffee sector at NAEB. In addition to that, Mrs. Uwimana Esther is holder of Bachelor’s degree in Rural and community development; this was also another inspiration for her to establish Great Coffee Farmers Ltd that supports the coffee famers in Good agricultural practice especially in increasing coffee yield in terms of quality and quantity. As her working capital was not enough to run her company. She interested her brother to join and work together in the Company, he agreed to join Great Coffee Farmers Ltd. We worked together for 5 years where Great Coffee Farmers Ld rented a coffee washing station named Kirezi Coffee located in Nyanza District in southern part of Rwanda at altitude between 1760 and 2100m high, and owned by famers’ cooperative which was not able to continue the management of this coffee washing station.

After exploring the available opportunities, both shareholders of Great Coffee Farmers Ltd decided to expand activities. Mrs Uwimana Esther kept owning and managing the company whereas his brothers founded his own company. The company grew up where it has another coffee washing station named Cyeza Coffee washing station at altitude between 1750m and 2150m high which is being rented from 2023. Great Coffee Farmers Ltd is expecting to have its own coffee washing station within the coming five years.
